This September, NECIT Services Ltd will attend two national conferences across the UK: the BINDT NDT Conference at Birmingham NEC and the UK Metals Expo 2025 in Edinburgh.
Our Head of Non-Destructive Testing Liam Glenwright and Commercial Manager Grant Dench will be venturing out across the country to attend the national conferences and benefit from the professional networking opportunities afforded by these events, where we can forge new connections and reaffirm established partnerships.
From September 9th-11th, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) will host the British Institute for Non-Destructive Testing’s Annual Conference, bringing together industry professionals and organisations to explore solutions that advance the welding and non-destructive testing sectors.
This year, the NDT conference theme looks at how to drive the priorities for the future of non-destructive technologies with deep dives into the industries current pressing concerns, including the UK’s ageing infrastructure and workforce, environmental and climate concerns, the increasing use of AI and shifting government regulations which are driving the need for rapid changes in the industry’s requirements.
NECIT’s representatives will be in attendance on September 9th to engage with the insightful discussions taking place, and explore how we can align our output with the industry’s objectives.
Since 2022, the UK Metals Expo has been the leading conference for the UK metal industry, representing the entire industry at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham.
With over 300 exhibitors across these two days, the scope of the UK Metals Expo ranges far and wide. For 2025, its key themes will focus on UK industrial strategy, transitioning to low-carbon or closed-loop production, and recycling within the supply chain to aid the sector’s net zero ambitions.
Liam and Grant will make the trip from Edinburgh to the NEC to attend the highly anticipated 4th edition of the industry-leading exhibition and conference on September 10th, to share knowledge and foster collaboration with professionals from across the metals sector and help shape its future.
