Case Study
INTECSEA Inc

Intecsea Inc are the project management consultancy contractor for major oil and gas project phases in India.

One of Intecsea's clients, a prestigious Indian oil and gas company, required a cost-effective solution for highly qualified mechanical, electrical and protective coatings inspectors, auditors and expeditors (many of whom are multi-disciplined) across the globe for multiple major subsea projects.

What were the requirements?

Intecsea requirements included:

  • QA/QC Inspectors onshore to witness and oversea quality during manufacture of project materials.
  • QA/QC Inspectors offshore to witness and oversee the fabrication and installation of project equipment in the field.
  • Expediting activities to ensure project critical materials were delivered on schedule and supplier progress information was factual.

The quality of candidates required to represent the client, in terms of breadth of certification and competency, was an extremely high standard.

Intecsea required coordination of these inspectors across multiple vendors and time zones whilst delivering inspection reports and information to the project team within 24 hours of activities taking place.

Service

What service did NECIT Services provide?

NECIT identified inspectors and expeditors from our already approved database of multi-skilled inspectors, and sourced new talent where the requirements were either outside of our existing talent pool or unique to the projects being delivered. Inspector details were packaged and proposed for selection within timeframe and to the requirements of the client. This included up to date vetting of regionally related certification standards as well as relevant experience validation to ensure candidates were ready to be effective from day one on sites.

Results

What were the results?

The NECIT coordination team worked closely with Intecsea daily to fulfil the scope of the original contract on time and on budget. That success led to NECIT being awarded further scopes on existing projects as well as additional projects within the region.
