NECIT Technical Manager Liam Glenwright celebrates his recent certification in Penetrant Testing Level 3 (ISO9712). As Head of Non-Destructive Testing, Liam will use the skills and knowledge developed through this certification process to further enhance the projects delivered by NECIT’s NDT department.
Penetrant testing is a popular NDT method used to reveal potential surface-breaking defects in a material, in particular castings, forgings, and weldment faults. The effectiveness of any non-destructive testing procedure depends on the capabilities of the persons who perform the test. With this certification, Liam has demonstrated the advanced knowledge and competence regarding NDT operations required to guide our team through new procedures utilising this method.
