1. How long have you been working as an inspector?

I have been working as Inspector since 2013.

2. What are your specialist skills and certifications?

I specialise in NDT, Mechanical, Electrical and Welding type inspections

3. What motivates you most about being an inspector and why?

For me, client satisfaction is something which is very important. Every time I complete a project I feel fulfilled, which gives me a sense of accomplishment, especially if the client is happy with the result. This is what motivates me as an inspector.

4. Why do you think Inspectors are so important in the world of engineering.

I think Benjamin Franklin’s quote says it all really, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”. Inspectors need to provide quality in order for equipment and materials to remain successful for many years in the future. Inspectors are vital in maintaining quality.

5. What do you think makes a top quality inspector and why?

Firstly, a quality inspector needs to pay attention to detail. Additionally, technical ability, integrity and effective communication skills are all important factors a quality inspector needs to be successful. This is something I personally aim to provide on every project I am involved in.

6. What is the most interesting project you’ve been involved in with NECIT Services and why?

If I had to choose one, it would be the EDF Noria 1300 MW Kit 9 Central Connection Shaft project

7. What do you like about working with the NECIT Services team and why?

NECIT gave me the opportunity to work with professionals and on some big projects over the years. They are brilliant with communicating with us and this makes me confident going into future projects.
