1. How long have you been working as an inspector?

Since 1982

2. What are your specialist skills and certifications?

Welding Inspection, CSWIP 3.1

3. What motivates you most about being an inspector and why?

Working in a team environment and being part of that team

4. What is the biggest challenge you’ve had as an inspector?

The most challenging thing I have found during my time as an inspector is adapting to changing work place environments and protocols

5. Why do you think Inspectors are so important in the world of engineering.

We ensure end products are manufactured to the agreed parameters and quality testing is documented throughout

6. What do you think makes a top quality inspector and why?

Integrity and communication & diplomacy, to ensure that the required reliability of product is maintained whilst keeping a good working relationship with contractors

7. What is the most interesting project you’ve been involved in with NECIT Services and why?

INTECSEA/Reliance KGD6 Project at TFMC Newcastle

It was interesting to be involved in all aspects of a project, from the manufacture of proto-types, R&D testing and subcontractor surveillances, to the completion of umbilical/ FAT Testing/ Document endorsements and the shipping of the product

8. What do you like about working with the NECIT Services team and why?

It is great to be involved within a vibrant team who are enthusiastic about the future
