NECIT Services is incredibly proud to announce that our Founder & CEO Peter Lyons has been named one of the Enginuity365 Faces of STEM for 2025.
Enginuity is a UK charity dedicated to closing the skills gap in the nation’s engineering and manufacturing industries through supporting employees in discovering new sources of skills, providing insights and recommendations on in-demand skills, and connecting organisations to ensure technical education develops in line with the needs of the industries themselves.
Enginuity’s 365 Faces of STEM is a campaign which highlights the importance of everyday role models in engineering, sharing the stories of remarkable men and women in STEM fields and their allies who champion their contributions to the field and make space for them to progress within the industry.
At NECIT, we believe in shaping the future of industry through integrity, expertise, and education. Peter’s recognition is not just a personal honour, it reflects the values we live by and the impact we aim to make in the world. We have worked hard to facilitate inclusivity through our support of colleges and universities across the North East, providing our expertise in intercollege competitions and giving aspiring engineers opportunities to progress in their careers with apprenticeship schemes.
This recognition celebrates NECIT and Peter’s unwavering commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and our ongoing efforts to promote STEM education and opportunity, especially within Welding, Inspection, and Non-Destructive Testing. Thank you to Enginuity for highlighting the importance of STEM role models. We’re proud to be part of this movement.
