Jack Miller joins the NECIT team to support growth through Sales and Marketing
We recently welcomed Jack Miller to the NECIT Services team as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator to help support business development and the continued demand from clients for inspection services around the world.
Jack is a recent graduate of Northumbria University who gained experience working in marketing through a placement year that formed part of his course. We are committed to creating opportunities for regional talent to join NECIT Services head office team and are very proud to be able to support Jack in developing his marketing career.
We asked him a few questions about his background, experiences and motivations:
Tell us a bit about your background
Back in June 2020 I graduated from Northumbria University with a First-Class Honours Degree in Marketing Management. During my four years at University, I spent my third year working away in industry on a year’s placement in a Sales and Marketing role. This experience coupled with my time at University, taught me what is required to successfully achieve the foundations in a marketing role, including SEO and Website Management, to Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing (and many more!).
Tell us about joining NECIT Services
About 3 weeks after I graduated from University, I came across a job opening on LinkedIn for a ‘Sales and Marketing Coordinator’ at NECIT Services Ltd. After reading the job description and researching the business, it felt like a great opportunity, so I decided to apply. I knew that with the COVID19 Pandemic it would be difficult to walk into a job so quickly after graduating, with many people sadly losing their job. Despite this, I remained hopeful that NECIT would respond to my application. They did, and after an enjoyable interview process, I was thrilled to be offered the role of a Sales & Marketing Coordinator.
What appealed to you about NECIT and the role
The ambitions at NECIT are very motivating. They want to continue supporting clients with top quality inspection services with a project coordination experience that is one of the best in the business. They are investing in people, systems and sales and marketing to support the demand from clients all over the world and I am excited to part of that.
Being part of the team and working alongside new colleagues will help further develop the knowledge and skills gained through my studies and experience to date in a hands-on way that I know can make a difference to NECIT.
