Visual Testing

Just as it sounds, visual inspections involve meticulously looking at the material or component and spotting surface flaws, corrosion, and other irregularities.

Visual testing is conducted by trained individuals who employ measuring equipment and gauges to assess the geometry of any imperfections in materials against established acceptance criteria.

Typically, these acceptance criteria are international standards such as ISO 5817, ISO 10042 or ASME V for welds. Visual testing allows for rapid and practical means to ensure quality control throughout every step of the fabrication or maintenance process.

Visual Drone Inspection

Drones are increasingly being used for visual inspection in Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, and various other sectors in the UK, providing a safe and efficient method to inspect assets.

This innovative approach of using aerial drone inspection has numerous benefits, mainly related to the advantage of visual inspection from high up, including more detailed inspections, thermal imaging, and greater inspection coverage.
