What do NECIT do?

In a world where safety and quality cannot be compromised, NECIT Services Ltd stands as a beacon of excellence. We recognise what it takes to keep a project on track and how important quality is in the delivery of complex programmes.

NECIT provide bespoke and fully co-ordinated inspection services for engineering projects globally and to put it simply we make sure everything is safe and up to standard! Please continue reading for a simple and brief (kinda) explanation of our services:

Welding certification

NECIT is appointed by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) as a Recognised Third Party Organisation (RTPO) for the approval of Welders, Welding operators, and Welding procedures.

This is a big deal! Here’s what it means:

For Welder and fabrication companies: NECIT’s certification enables welders and fabrication companies’ welding procedures to comply with the PESR. T PESR applies to the design, manufacture and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and parts that have to handle a maximum pressure greater than 0.5 bar.

What NECIT does: As a chosen RTPO, NECIT makes sure that the joining personnel and the procedures meet international standards. If everything checks out, appropriate approval documentation is issued based on a successful evaluation.

Vendor Inspection

Think of us as your eyes and ears! NECIT can make sure that everything you are buying is manufactured correctly, tested right, and delivered to you on time wherever your supply chain might be.

Checking Products: Our field personnel make sure that the items you are buying are manufactured and tested in line with International Standards and Project Specifications. We provided you with instant and accurate reflection of activities in your supply chain.

We can deploy field personnel to represent you all around the world: With more than 5,000 field personnel across 90 plus countries, we have local experts who can witness manufacturing and testing activities, conduct supplier audits and provide expediting services to ensure project materials are manufactured and delivered on time.

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

NDT is a way of examining materials or components without causing any damage. In simpler terms, it’s a “look-but-don’t-touch” method of testing and here are our testing techniques:

  1. Visual Inspection: Just as it sounds, we simply look at the material or component and spot surface flaws, corrosion, and other irregularities.
  2. Penetrant Inspection (Colour Contrast & Fluorescent): Think of this as a spotlight on a stage when an actor forgets their line, the spotlight makes them the centre of attention. Similarly, we apply a special liquid to a surface and this liquid seeps into any flaws, making them easier to see, especially under special lighting.
  3. Magnetic Particle Inspection (Colour Contrast & Fluorescent): We magnetise a part and then sprinkle it with magnetic particles. These particles are attracted to areas with defects, making them visible to the naked eye.
  4. Ultrasonic Thickness & Shearwave Testing: Sending sound waves into an object, and then measuring how they bounce back gives us insights into any potential flaws.
  5. Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing & Corrosion Mapping: Imagine a radar scanning the skies for planes. Likewise, we use sound waves to create a map that shows flaws or corrosion inside a material.
